Alchemy is well known for its innovative use of the newest archival media such as CD-R and DVD.  It is ideal for managing large volumes of images, computer report files (COLD), PDF's, AutoCad and Microsoft Office files and over 250 additional formats.  Alchemy includes all of the functions necessary for a standalone solution for capture, index, archive, retrieval, view and print.

This flexible solution can be installed as a standalone system or as an integrated part of an enterprise document or information management system.  A self-contained CD with documents and the programs to view them can be easily created for distribution.

The available Alchemy modules include:

Recommended for microfilm replacement, computer output and production imaging applications.
Imports report files (Print, COM or ASCII files) created by other databases or document systems directly into an Alchemy database.
Breaks a print file into individual records and instructs Alchemy which data to index.
Used with Alchemy's Forms Overlay Designer to create a COLD solution.

Scan, OCR and edit images directly into the Alchemy database.  Bitonal, grayscale and color images are supported.
Supports most scanners with ISIS or TWAIN drivers.
Includes an OCR engine which automatically links the OCR text to the image.

Recommended for project management applications.
Compatible with files made in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Indexes and searches for all text, blocks, layers and attributes.
