What is COLD Storage Technology?

Simply put COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk) is where computer generated reports and documents are stored electronically; i.e. monthly reports, invoices, statements, etc.

COLD gives a requestor immediate access to reports or information now stored on greenbar paper or microfiche.  COLD makes it easier, cheaper and quicker to find needed information.

Advantages of COLD technology:

Immediate access to information from a user's pc.
Eliminates expensive greenbar paper and the costs to distribute them.
Improves customer service.  Answer customer inquiries immediately and eliminate costly telephone call-backs.
Increases customer service representatives productivity by eliminating the need to leave their desks to search for the information they require.  This enables them to answer more calls.
Eliminates expensive microfiche readers or reader/printers

Replace your current paper or microfiche reports by choosing one of two available options from Jane Group, Inc.:

  1. Install Alchemy DataGrabber COLD/COM file conversion module and manage your own in-house COLD system.
  2. Send your data to Jane Group, Inc. and we will convert it to Alchemy CD's for you.  These self-contained CD's can be integrated into your system.
